Anything On Anyone's Mind
This is not so much a course as a Seminar. The idea is that people from throughout SSCC - instructors and students - can meet here to exchange ideas, comments, criticisms, proposals, worries, fears, hopes, plans - anything at all - getting to know one another, sharing lessons, or just meeting up. No lectures, here, just Zoom Sessions. How many sessions to choose from each week will depend on how many people participate. So let's give this a chance. Beyond the courses we each take, here we cross fertilize and expand everyone's interests and horizons.
Michael Albert is listed as faculty, but that is because Teachable requires that SSCC list someone for every course. Really, hosting the Zoom Sessions will be shared among various instructors.
Michael is a long time activist, writer, and organizer known primarily for his affiliation with Z Communications and his original writing on and support for Participatory Economics and Participatory Society. He has written hundreds of articles, over twenty books, one novel, one screenplay, and has initiated numerous institutions and projects. Especially germane for SSCC, he has taught in diverse settings from universities to prisons, online and offline, and is one of the hosts of the school School for Social and Cultural Change (SSCC)..
